Here in Charleston it is a pretty weird blend of hot and muggy with some cool mornings. I tend to get a little too excited over the cool mornings and throw on a sweater thinking I’ll be fine the rest of the day.
I will not be okay, because it is still 80-something degrees. The other day I thought, “Well maybe if I pair this ultra thin sweater with a little dress it’ll all work out?” I’ve got to say it wasn’t that bad! Still a little warmer than I’d really like, but hey! We can’t always get what we want. The fact that the sweater was loosely woven and a little bit sheer helped me out a ton. I also pulled my hair back on one side to create a nice breezy situation.
These Kenneth Cole wedges are the perfect transition shoe from Summer to Fall because they kind of resemble little booties, but are still open enough to stay cool.
I also added this chunky gold necklace (I can’t remember for the life of me where it’s from, but I linked a similar one!) right under the collar so it added just a small pop of gold.
This dress is great for layering, and you can continue to wear it into the colder months with leggings, tights, blazers, heavy sweaters, and so on.
